Water Resistance Testing & Seal Renewal

Dry and wet pressure testing to the case's rated depth, followed by replacement of case-back, crown and pusher gaskets and re-greasing of the tube. Suitable for owners who swim, dive or live in a humid climate.

Chronograph Module Service

Dismantling of the timing module, cleaning of the column wheel or cam, renewal of clutch and hammer springs, and re-timing of the start, stop and return-to-zero sequence. Suited to pieces where the seconds hand no longer lands cleanly on zero.

Full Mechanical Overhaul

Complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, mainspring and barrel renewal, jewel and pivot inspection, fresh lubrication, and adjustment in six positions. Case and bracelet refinishing included where the owner wishes. Intended for pieces that have run for eight or more years without bench work.

Written Documentation on Every Job

Each completed service comes with a signed output document — pressure certificates, timing traces, parts lists, or condition reports depending on the service type. Nothing leaves the bench undocumented.

Scope Defined Before Work Begins

We describe exactly what each service covers, which parts will be replaced, and what the bench time looks like. Owners know what they are approving before any tools touch the movement.

Transparent Findings

If the inspection reveals wear that falls outside the agreed scope, we note it in writing and let the owner decide whether to address it. No work proceeds without discussion.

Realistic Bench Schedules

Turnaround times are given as ranges, not marketing promises. A seal renewal takes two to five working days. A full overhaul runs six to nine weeks. We keep owners informed at each stage.

Ultrasonic and Pressure Equipment On-Site

Water resistance testing and ultrasonic cleaning are performed in-house at Damansara Utama. Parts do not leave our premises for third-party cleaning or testing.

Fixed Workshop Location in Petaling Jaya

Cogwright operates from a single address in Damansara Utama. Owners can drop off pieces in person, discuss the work face to face, and collect when the job is complete.

Common Questions

How do I know which service my watch needs? +

You do not need to diagnose it yourself. Bring or describe the piece — the make, model, age since last service, and what you have noticed (e.g. the chronograph seconds hand does not return cleanly, or the case has been wet). We will identify the appropriate service path and explain it before you approve anything.

What does "water resistance testing" actually involve? +

We perform both dry (air pressure) and wet testing to the depth rating marked on the case. The case-back, crown, and pusher gaskets are replaced and re-greased. You receive a signed pressure certificate showing the tested value, the gasket sizes fitted, and guidance on how frequently the test should be repeated.

How long does a full mechanical overhaul take? +

The schedule runs six to nine weeks. Complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, mainspring and barrel renewal, jewel and pivot inspection, fresh lubrication, and adjustment in six positions each require careful time. We contact you if anything unexpected is found during inspection.

Are the prices shown final, or are there additional charges? +

The prices shown cover the defined scope of each service. If inspection reveals a part that falls outside the agreed scope — for example a damaged jewel found during overhaul — we will note it in the condition report and discuss with you before any additional work is carried out. Nothing proceeds without your knowledge.

Can I drop off my watch in person at Damansara Utama? +

Yes. Our workshop is located at 27 Jalan SS 21/37, Damansara Utama, 47400 Petaling Jaya. We are open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Contact us first if you are coming specifically to discuss a complex piece — we can arrange a time for a longer conversation.

What is included in the chronograph service coverage period? +

The 24-month coverage period for the chronograph module service means that if the same function develops a fault related to the work we performed, we will examine the piece and address it without additional bench charge. It does not cover damage from impact, moisture ingress, or modifications made elsewhere.
