Six Reasons Owners Come Back
Signed Output Document with Every Job
Pressure certificates, timing traces, parts lists, and condition reports are produced for each service. Owners leave with a tangible record of what was done and what values were achieved — not a verbal summary.
All Testing Performed In-House
Water resistance testing and ultrasonic cleaning are done on our own equipment at Damansara Utama. Your piece does not travel to a third-party facility. We can report exactly what equipment was used and at what settings.
One Watchmaker Per Job
A single named watchmaker handles your piece from receipt through to collection. There is no handoff between technicians and no uncertainty about who made which decision during the service.
Prices Published in Advance
Each service has a fixed price in Ringgit Malaysia. Water resistance testing and seal renewal at RM 460. Chronograph module service at RM 2,150. Full mechanical overhaul at RM 4,180. No assessment fees before quoting.
No Work Proceeds Without Discussion
If inspection reveals something outside the agreed scope, we note it and contact the owner before acting. The decision to address additional findings always belongs to the owner, not the workshop.
Realistic Time Ranges, Not Marketing Estimates
Bench time is stated as a range based on actual workflow. Seal renewals take two to five working days. Full overhauls run six to nine weeks. Owners are updated if anything changes the timeline.

On-Site Tools That Matter
Many small watch repair operations outsource ultrasonic cleaning and pressure testing. At Cogwright, both are performed on our own equipment at our Damansara Utama address. The timing machine produces traces across six positions after every movement reassembly. These traces are included in the service documentation so owners have objective data rather than a technician's verbal assessment.
Communication
The Person You Speak to Is the Person Doing the Work
At larger service centres, a customer service layer sits between the owner and the bench. Questions are relayed, answers are relayed back, and the watchmaker rarely speaks to the owner directly. At Cogwright, the watchmaker assigned to your piece is the person you discuss it with. If something is found during inspection, they explain it to you. If you have a question about the timing traces, they walk you through the figures.

Distinctive Features
Condition Report on Retained Wear
After a full overhaul, we provide a written condition report noting wear we observed but chose not to address — at the owner's direction or because intervention was not justified. Most shops simply fix what they see and charge accordingly.
Parts Provenance Sheet
For overhauls, a parts provenance sheet identifies the origin of replacement components — mainspring, barrel, gaskets. Owners know whether original-equipment or compatible parts were fitted and why.
Full Photographic Record
Every overhaul is documented photographically at key stages — movement out, dial and hands off, components cleaned, reassembly. The record is provided to the owner and kept on file.
24-Month Chronograph Coverage
The chronograph module service includes a 24-month coverage period for function faults related to the work performed. The scope of this coverage is stated clearly in the service documentation.
